Hi Snoweel. What happened to your blog? I enjoyed it while it was going.

San Juan is good two-player, no doubt about it, but I already play that quite a lot with another friend, so I'd rather play something different with Ness.

Thanks for the other tips. That's an interesting comment about Industrial Waste. I am even more curious about it now...

We have similar requirements for 2-player games. San Juan is great as it has some depth but is quick to set up and play. 2-p Puerto Rico is also good but a bit more cumbersome. I like to play Lord of the Rings 2-player although Andrea is not so into it.

We tried Industrial Waste a few times but the game is really opaque to me; often it doesn't feel like one path is any better than another.

My wife and I used to play a lot of 2 player Goa. We also went through a Power Grid phase. It works surprisingly well for 2 player as well considering there is an auction element to it.

Thanks for the suggestion. Hansa does look like an interesting game, but I am really looking for something meatier, a real "system" game.
