Two-player Goa
Saturday, February 4th, 2006Vanessa and I tried Goa on Thursday night and we enjoyed it a lot. I have not been enthusiastic about trying out lighter eurogames with her recently, as I get bored of them so much quicker than her. Goa on the other hand, is a game with enough meat on it to keep me happy. More importantly, Vanessa also enjoyed the intricate thinking required, especially as Goa is non-confrontational.
Buoyed with this success, I am going to try some other big two-player games with her. Unfortunately, it is difficult to find non-confrontational, deep games without looking at multiplayer games. I asked Mikko about this and he gave me some nice suggestions, plus some of the usual suspects chimed in. Thanks! Caylus, Antiquity and Industrial Waste look most interesting.
